Meet Maisie! {Brampton Newborn Photographer}

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

Today I had the honour of photographing my friend Larissa’s newborn daughter, Maisie! Maisie is the second daughter to Scott and Larissa, and little sister to Kahlan. Scott and Larissa were good enough to come to my “home studio” (aka I kicked my family out of my living room for the afternoon) to do Maisie’s pictures. Thanks so much!

Recently my daughter has been asking to come on photo sessions with me, but being that she’s 4, I can’t bring her. Today she got the opportunity to watch me work, in between playing with Kahlan in the basement while my dear husband supervised. Thanks honey!

Ok, back to the cuteness! Here is Maisie, 10 days old and ADORABLE!!! Thanks again Scott & Larissa! I hope you love your pictures!

Today I had the honour of photographing beautiful Breanne at just 3 days old. This sweet little one was 6 lbs, 8 oz when born and has two big sisters to help take care of her over the years! Thank you so Marlowe & Peter for having me out today. You have a beautiful family. I’m so glad I could be there to capture these beautiful moments!

Oh, and just as exciting as the arrival of the new baby is the news that Peter proposed to Marlowe…3 days ago – you do the math! :)

Another Isabella! {Brampton Newborn Photography}

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Hello Isabella!

You are the third Isabella I’ve had the pleasure of photographing since starting my business in 2008.  I can’t say you were the cutest, because all three are equally beautiful (and I’d have two moms really mad at me ;) ) but I can say you slept the most even though you were a hungry girl!  When the milk coma hit, you were out!  At 8 lbs, 7 oz and just 6 days old, you were one perfect model!

Readers, it was a HOT one today.  We had +30 C temperatures and humidity making it feel into the 40s.  It made for good newborn conditions though because newborns love the warmth.  It helps them sleep very well.  A sleepy baby is easier to photograph then an awake one only because they won’t move and are easier to pose (just in case anyone was wondering).

Thank you Megan and Rolando and big brother Ethan for allowing me to share this special time in your lives.  I can’t wait to see this little girl (and Ethan) grow into beautiful children and adults!  I hope you love your sneak peek!

Sweet baby Daniel {Mississauga Newborn Photographer}

Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010

Today I had a really awesome newborn session with Daniel and his mom and dad.  I mean, it was really, really awesome!  I was able to try a few new ideas I had to incorporate more of mom and dad in my newborn sessions.  I’m really happy with how things turned out!

Sweet Daniel is three weeks old and was the perfect sleeping baby for his pictures.  The room we were using was beautifully lit with natural light and with two big windows, nice and warm for Daniel!

Thanks for having me out today.  It was a pleasure meeting you, and I hope we can have the opportunity to work together again.  I hope you enjoy and love your sneak peeks!

Newborn Casting Call for July 2010!

Saturday, May 8th, 2010

Hello everyone!

I want to do something new and different for a newborn shoot in July.  Instead of the usual cute poses (we will do some of those too), I want to do a true lifestyle newborn photography session.

What does this mean exactly?  I would like to do pictures with baby with mom, dad, siblings included, both inside your home and outside.  Everyone in your family needs to be a willing participant in this session.

There are a few things I require:

  • You must live within 60km of Brampton, Ontario.  Anything further than that may be subject to a small travel fee.
  • The session is to be done during the month of July when the baby is between 3 and 8 days of age, and absolutely no later than 10 days old.  As my client, you must be willing to commit to that time frame.
  • You must be willing to bring the baby outside.  If it’s raining on the day our schedule session day, we will reschedule for the following day.  The baby will not be naked outside.
  • If you are breastfeeding your baby, I would like to take pictures of this, however they will not be posted for public view.
  • You must be willing use your entire home – bedrooms, living areas, kitchen, etc.  Ideally your home will be well lit in all rooms.
  • You must be willing to sign model release forms in order that I can use these images for my company use.

For your troubles, this will be a free session and you will receive one, 8×10 print of your choice.  Any additional prints, birth announcements or other products will be at my current prices, with a 5% discount.

If you’re interested in adding on a maternity session, you can do so at the discounted rate of $125 (regularly $150).

If you are interested, please contact me through my booking page and indicate Casting Call as your reference type.  There will only be one spot available for this casting call and is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Thank you!

Is Maureen!  Recognize her?  She is one of the talented bloggers on the Yummy Mummy Club and is also OVERDUE!  That’s right my friends, her due date was yesterday so while this photo session may have been last minute, it was a lot of fun!  Kudos to Maureen and Tom for coming out today for this!  I only hope all those poses I made you do will help induce labour!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!  Thanks so much for having me out!

Here she comes….

Cheeky girl!

Just like Tyra…

Come on baby girl, there are only about a bazillion people awaiting your arrival!  What a gorgeous mom!  I bet baby will have red hair too!

Oh yes, Tom was there too!

Ballerina or Hockey Player? {Brampton Newborn Photographer}

Thursday, April 22nd, 2010

This sweet baby is going to have a hard time deciding if she’d rather be a hockey player or a ballerina when she grows up!  Whatever she chooses, I’m sure she’ll be great at it!  Miss O is only 5 days old and slept for almost the entire session.  She was a gem to work with!  Thank you so much mom and dad for this beautiful opportunity to photograph your angel.  I look forward to seeing her when she’s a year old – I bet that tutu will still fit!  ;-)

I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Sweet Prince M {Georgetown Newborn Photographer}

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Today I had the delightful pleasure to photograph the nephew of a friend of mine from highschool.  Sweet Prince M was wonderful to work with at just 7 days old, sleeping most of the time!  He has these deep, purple-ish eyes and oh the hair!  As you’ll see, he has beautiful, lush hair that any newborn would be jealous of!  Thank you Jessie for having me out today!  Congratulations on your beautiful son!

Sweet Miss F! {Mississauga Newborn Photographer}

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

Today I had the delightful pleasure of meeting and photographing Miss F at 14 days old.  Usually we photographers prefer the babies to be asleep for the photo sessions, however, Miss F was having none of that!  Mom and I did manage to get her to fall asleep for about, oh, 5 minutes but it was enough time to snap the pictures I wanted!

Not only did I get to meet Miss F, but I also got to meet her adorable big sister, Miss N.  Thanks mom and dad for having me out today!  Mom, it was a pleasure meeting you and I look forward to our next session in the fall! :)   I hope you enjoy your sneak peeks!

Beautiful Miss A {Brampton Newborn Photographer}

Saturday, April 10th, 2010

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Miss A, who wasn’t due to be born until April 15! Much to the pleasant surprise of her mom and dad, she was born on April 1 which is also her mom’s birthday. What a wonderful birthday present! Thanks mom and dad for having me out today. Your little girl is beautiful! You have beautiful times ahead of you! Enjoy your sneak peek!

This beautiful hat was handmade by my friend Laura. Thanks so much!
