I’m sure that many prospective clients wonder why custom photography costs more than your typical studio photographer that you would find at your local department store.  There are so many factors that go into custom photography that you may not know about. My style of photography is called lifestyle photography. You cannot get the images I produce at a department store studio. I will never rush through your session nor will I force you to make a cheesy smile. I will never be late for your session, and you can have as many wardrobe changes as you like! I will stop and let you feed or cuddle your crying newborn, console your toddler or let you take a breather when you are in the last trimester of your pregnancy. I will come to your location and work with you to capture your memories forever on a digital canvas.

The session fee you pay is not only for my time and talent to create a wonderful experience for you and your family, it’s also part of the cost of maintaining my business. These costs include anything from purchasing equipment, ordering props, getting permits, travel time to and from the location, uploading the files, selecting the best files from the session, performing minor edits if necessary, processing images for either colour or black and white images, setting up your gallery on a private website, proofing the images with you for selection, ordering the prints or products and any other situations that may arise.

The prints and products I offer must meet my standards before being presented to you, and let me tell you, my standards are very high.  I have partnered with an excellent Canadian print house to offer a full range of products including prints, canvases, photobooks/albums, mounted storyboards and accordian albums.  I take the time to ensure that the product you have ordered is perfect in every way before delivering to you.  I will never force you to choose only one pose for all your prints.  I offer print collections, digital files and a la carte prints and products, giving you the flexibility to choose the images you love!
