Giving Back!

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

I have recently applied to be a photographer for the Littlest Heroes Project.  The Littlest Heroes project provides a free photo session to children under the age of 21 who are dealing or have delt with any type of serious illness, children who have been a part of any type of serious illness resulting in illness or disability, photo sessions for families who have lost children within the last 3 years due to a serious accident or illness.

Children are such an important part of my life.  Every child is beautiful and special in their own unique way.  Nothing warms my heart more than to see a beautiful smile on the face of a child, especially one that was caught naturally!

Stay tuned!  Hopefully I will be able announce my acceptance very soon!

A kid at heart! {Georgetown Family Photographer}

After doing all of the posed shots last week, we went over to the playground to let the kids play as their reward for doing such a good job. Yes, the kids were supposed to play! I think it’s safe to say that Dad is a kid at heart, as he climbed up the pole to catch his niece!

During my processing, I came across this sweet shot of Mom and her girls. It reminded me of a funky snap shot, so I dressed it up a bit!

Thanks again to this wonderful family! There are so many wonderful photos to process! I hope to have your galleries ready by the end of this week!

Three generations! {Georgetown child and family photographer}

Today I had the extreme pleasure of photographing this beautiful family at Cedarvale Park in Georgetown, Ontario. In the below picture you will see the grand parents, two sons, their wives and their beautiful children! They were all very excited for the shoot and made things so easy for me! Going through their pictures this afternoon, I realized it would be difficult to find my favourites for their sneak peak, but I managed to narrow it down!

First, the three generations:

Then the grandchildren. I have to say, the eldest girl was so into the session! She kept trying to peek at my camera back and even said “great shot” at one point! She had lots of ideas for pictures too! I think photography may be in her future!

This one melted my heart when I saw it! Such great smiles from both mom and son!

And finally, the big kids playing on the slide! Some things never change, right? :)

Thank you so much for this opportunity! I look forward to speaking to you all soon!

Back for more! {Woodbridge Family Photographer}

Today I headed back to Sandi’s house to finish our photo session. Our last session went well, but it was so cold outside that we didn’t get the shots we wanted. This family is so fun to photograph! Not only are they some of the nicest people I’ve ever met (and I’m not just saying that), but they don’t mind trying out some poses I had in mind! For example:

and

But don’t forget our little Diva who was ready for me as soon as I came in the door!

Thank you so much Sandi for this wonderful opportunity! Muah!!!

Sandi BEGGED me for another sneak peak. How could I deny her! She had mentioned to me her husband loves black and white, so the second one is for him!

Ok that’s it now! Your gallery should be ready by Sunday! You’ll hear from me soon!
