Back in February, I got the idea in my head to create a community resources website for Brampton.  It was something that was sorely lacking in our wonderful community.  I had seen similar sites such as Wondermoms in Oakville and Mums N’ Chums in Georgetown but Brampton had nothing.  I bought a domain name and did some work on a website, but life got in the way and I had to put it on the backburner.

Two weeks ago, a friend told me about a new website she had found called Flower City Mom.  It was the website I had envisioned but so much nicer!  I was excited to see it and contacted the administrator, Teresa, to see how I could help out.  We spoke on the phone about our ideas and now she and I are partners on this wonderful website.  We both update content, I’ve created a Facebook page and message board, we manage the Twitter account and together, we are spreading the word!
