The holiday season is officially upon us!  Tim Horton’s has released their winter coffee cups!  I look forward to seeing these cups every year.  They are always different and remind me of having fun in the snow as a child, back when I enjoyed playing in the cold weather!  Now…not so much!

In other news….

Earlier this week I suffered a great loss.  My external hard drive quit on me and along with it went my entire year’s work.  What makes me even more sad is that pictures of my children were on the hard drive also.  Images of my son’s first year of life – gone.

My husband, who is an IT professional, is working on the drive and we hope to recover what I’ve lost. I’ve since bought a new external drive and will be changing the way I handle my files.

So, why am I posting about this?  I know a lot of photographers read my blog and I want it to be a message to everyone to please make sure you are diligently backing up and double backing up your data.  Don’t suffer the heartache I’ve gone through this week!  It’s not the way to learn a valuable lesson!
