Happy Canada Day everyone! Yes, I know I’m late but I chose to spend the day with my family. More on that later. I have a few things that I need to update everyone on first!
HST
July 1 marked the introduction of HST in Ontario. The HST has affected the price of a lot of things, but I’m happy to say that it has NOT affected my Creative Fee! My fee will still remain at $150 which INCLUDES HST, so really, you’re only paying me $132.74 and the rest goes to our lovely provincial/federal government.
Print Collections
July 1 also marks the introduction of some new products at NBP. I’m pleased to introduce my new print collections which can be added on to your session fee at the time of booking, or you can choose to purchase a collection when you place your print order. Also, you will receive 10% off all a la carte prints when you purchase a collection. Print collections do not include HST. Here are the new collections:
Beautifully Simple 1 8×10, 2 5×7, 16 Wallets $65
Beautifully Elegant 1 11×14, 2 8×10, 4 5×7, 16 Wallets $140
Beautifully Perfect 1 16×20, 1 11×14, 2 8×10, 4 5×7, 16 Wallets $215
I am now offering a 20-page, 4×6 proof books as an add-on to the session fee for $45. This is a beautiful spiral bound book with 20 of your favourite images from the session. Each picture has a border with my company name and the image number on the bottom.
Digital Images
I realize that people do want digital images to share with friends and family, therefore I have decided that every client will receive a proof CD with their print order. The images on the CD are watermarked, but permission is given to share these images online on websites such as Facebook, MySpace or other such websites.
Over the summer I will be analyzing my digital collections to see how I can provide the best value to my clients. Look for the digital packages to be revamped hopefully by September 2010!
And now, some pictures!
This year was the first year I took my daughter to see the fireworks display. My friend Sharon and I packed up the kids and took them to Orangeville. I, of course, brought my camera to try and catch some firework images. Let me tell you, that is not an easy task! I don’t think I did too badly for my first time out though! Here are a few of the images I captured:

We had a great time, but not so fun trying to get home! Ah well, it was worth it to hear my daughter say “wow mom! They look like they’re 3D”!
Moments like that I will cherish always. Thanks Sharon for driving us up there! It was fun!
